Individual # 1295--MOSES PEFLEY, (son of M. Peffley & Mariah West)) married at Ladoga, Apr. 30th, 1863, MARIA LOUISA MERCER WEST, born May 5th, 1845, Hendricks, Co., Ind., died at Ladoga, Aug. 4th, 1921 (dau. of WILLIAM WILLIS and SARAH ANN (Pilcher) WEST). Both buried in Ladoga, Cemetery. William W. married Sarah Ann Pilcher, Apr. 4th, 1833. He died Mar. 30th, 1880, Sarah died Aug. 5th, 1891.  Moses lived in Ladoga until 1870 when he moved to Crawfordsville.  He was a fine carpenter and cabinet-maker.  His daughter Gracie has a cradle he made for her.  After the death of Moses his widow returned to Ladoga and kept the family together.  She boarded many of the pupils of the old Ladoga Normal School.  In the year 1883 Maria married John S. Hardin of Bernard, Ind., residing there a short time.  Later they moved to Mecca, Ind. and after a number of years came to Ladoga where Mr. Hardin ran a flour mill.  He was a veteran of the Civil War, serving as an officer.  He died May 10th, 1919.'

2--JOHN  WILLIAM PEFLEY, b. 11-12-1865, died at age of one month.
                
3--CHARLES   ARMSTARD PEFLEY, b. 3-6-1867, d. 11- 6-1903.
                
4--GRACIE  BELLE PEFLEY, b. 11-13-1869  (she was an impressive crayon artist)
